MDF Recovery’s Intellectual Property

MDF Recovery

MDFR’s success has been built upon its IPR, without which it would have been difficult to compete in such a mature sector.

Wood based panel manufacture is a truly global industry, which is dominated by large businesses that typically produce a suite of products including MDF, particleboard and OSB. MDF Recovery is seeking to disrupt the traditional supply chain that operates in this industry by introducing a novel technology that, for the first time, facilitates effective recycling of end of life MDF from shops, homes and commercial premises.

MDFR has amassed a significant amount of confidential know how during the development of its technology but has also protected its interests more formally via a portfolio of patents and Trademarks.

Patents:

MDF Recovery has secured patent protection across the whole of Europe and in other territories further afield that have strong or emerging MDF manufacturing markets. Opportunities to add to the patent portfolio will be taken as the technology is scaled from its current pilot status into the world’s first commercial MDF recycling operation.

Trademarks ®:

As awareness and interest in MDFR’s technology has grown, so too has the need to protect our brand and logo. We are therefore delighted to confirm that the MDFR trademark is now Registered with the following descriptions:

“Recycling of waste MDF, fibreboard and other panel board products; processing of waste MDF, fibreboard and other panel board products; production of new MDF, fibreboard and other panel board products from waste MDF, fibreboard and other panel board products; production of thermal insulation materials from waste MDF, fibreboard and other panel board products; production of horticultural products from waste MDF, fibreboard and other panel board products.”
